Background
Familjehemscenter is a vital organization that provides crucial support and strengthens foster families in Sweden. In 2023, I had the opportunity to contribute to their mission by optimizing their website and enhancing their search engine visibility.
Organic Search
Organic search offers a valuable avenue for businesses to significantly increase their reach with minimal effort. I applied this principle to the Familjehemscenter project. Their website already contained a wealth of valuable information, and my role was to strategically improve its search engine presence to attract more visitors.
To achieve this, I focused on enhancing their brand visibility within search results. This included ensuring their logo was prominently displayed, incorporating relevant image previews, and crafting compelling meta descriptions that provided potential visitors with a taste of the valuable content available on each webpage.
These enhancements, among others, aimed to improve user experience, increase click-through rates and drive more traffic to the Familjehemscenter website.
Reflections
Sometimes the clients I work for deliver such important work for society, it makes the work I do feel so much more rewarding. Projects such as these are fun, because I get to utalize my skills, but more importantly, I feel I was able to deliver effective results for a cause I wholeheartedly support.
