Project Overview
This project showcases a clean and corporate website demo designed for a fictional logistics software company, Global Solutions. Built with Elementor in WordPress, the website prioritizes technical SEO and user experience.
Competitive Analysis
I started the project with an in-depth competition research informed the selection of featured services, customer testimonials, and website vocabulary. This helps me better understand the businesses, the customers and what facilitates the connection between the two.
SEO Optimization
For this project, I create a demo for the website, which prioritizes SEO in its design, by incorporating various content types. These include customer service information, recruitment pages, industry-specific landing pages, and FAQs.
The process kept in mind a project with an initial smaller scope, but that understood and facilitates the ability for the website to grow and branch out with different types of content, easily organized and tailored for different audiences.
Design & User Experience
The design focuses on a clean aesthetic with a limited color palette for service differentiation. These include subtle animations, such as a sliding service section upon loading, guide users through the website. And interactive elements like buttons with a subtle push effect and image fade-in on lazy loading enhance the user experience.
Iconography & Storytelling
The selection of primary service icons incorporates a touch of whimsy to enhance clarity and tell a larger narrative. Ordered strategically, the icons visually represent the interconnectedness of logistics services, from QR code scanning and warehouse management to reverse logistics between the warehouse and truck.
Takeaways
I was able to complete this project in a few hours, but I am really happy with the results. The design highlights the importance of prior research for efficient website design. The resulting demo exemplifies my goal of creating a clean and corporate user experience, whilst adhering to my focus on SEO best practices.
