Promoting Local Business Growth
Stora Näringslivsdagen, a biennial event hosted by Totalmedia, fosters collaboration and strengthens the local business landscape. This project involved creating a vibrant and engaging website for the event.
User-Friendly Design & Navigation
While the overall brand identity was expertly crafted by our art director, I had the opportunity to influence design decisions. The initial design was quite busy, so I suggested incorporating subtle movement to make the landing page less overwhelming. This focused users’ attention on the key message first, with additional elements appearing on scroll, encouraging exploration.
Successful Award Voting System
The website hosted a crucial voting system for awards presented during the event. Utilizing a user-friendly premium plugin, I structured the voting into separate pages for each category, with only three nominees per category. This simplified the voting process and allowed nominees to easily share their category link for increased participation.
Initially, there were some challenges, such as accessibility of voting pages and clarification on voting limits. However, with adjustments and clear instructions, we achieved a successful outcome with over a thousand votes per category.
Celebrating Collaboration
The Stora Näringslivsdagen event showcased the importance of collaboration in building thriving local communities. I’m proud to have contributed to a website that was not only visually appealing but also facilitated important award voting and exceeded expectations for user experience.
