Project Overview
In 2022, I was tasked with redesigning the website for Staga, a sustainable solutions company based in Linköping, Sweden. Staga specializes in product and process development for various industries. However, they were facing an online harassment campaign that negatively impacted their reputation.
Challenges and Focus
The website redesign aimed to address two key challenges. First, I focused on enhancing the website’s discoverability in search engine results. This would improve organic traffic and increase the company’s online visibility. Second, I aimed to showcase Staga’s positive company culture and diverse team. This would attract top talent and rebuild the company’s online image.
Strategic Design Solutions
To achieve these goals, I implemented several strategic design solutions. I refined the visual identity with a lighter design aesthetic. This improved user experience and reflected Staga’s modern and innovative approach.
I prioritized employee-centric content. I incorporated photos and stories featuring Staga’s team members to foster a sense of community and transparency within the company.
Finally, I reorganized the website’s content to make previously hidden information readily accessible. This included showcasing Staga’s history, achievements, and sustainability initiatives.
Reflections
This project presented an opportunity to combat online negativity and rebuild a positive online presence for Staga. The final website effectively portrays the company’s strong team dynamic and positive company culture, empowering them to move forward on a positive note.
This project was a valuable learning experience for me, demonstrating the power of strategic design in overcoming challenges and achieving positive outcomes.
