In 2024, I embarked on a personal project to create an ancestry website dedicated to my father’s lineage. The goal was to design a platform that not only presented genealogical data but also resonated emotionally with our family’s heritage. Central to this endeavor was developing a color palette that would evoke a sense of history, growth, and familial connection.
The Color Palette
The chosen colors—#1F6D42, #47A76A, #E1F3E5, and #F5F5F5—were carefully selected to embody these themes.

A deep forest green, symbolizing the roots and enduring strength of our family tree. This color serves as the primary hue, grounding the website in a sense of tradition and resilience.

Integrating this color palette into the website design involved thoughtful application across various elements.
