Background
Back in 2017, I had the exciting task of designing direct mailers for Opinion 11:12, a survey service that helps gather valuable public and market research data. Within this project I created mailers that were engaging, user-friendly and focused on clear communication.
Informed Participation
Opinion 11:12 offers a variety of surveys, from daily political polls (Dagsopinion 11:12) to market trend analyses (Branschopinion 11:12) and even weekly omnibus surveys (O (mni) pinion 11:12) that tap into the pulse of the general public. The idea was to use direct mailers to encourage people to participate in these surveys and make their voices heard.
Clean and Simple
The mailers stayed true to Opinion 11:12’s brand, emphasizing a neutral design that wasn’t overwhelming. Think clear, concise messaging about the surveys and the importance of public opinion.
Impact
The design featured a prominent Opinion 11:12 logo, instantly grabbing attention. Key information about the surveys and the benefits of participation were clearly presented in the center, making it easy for recipients to understand. Additional details and contact information were neatly displayed at the bottom, with contact details highlighted for easy access.
Reflections
This was an incredibly engaging and educational project that had fundamental impact on my thinking about data collection and survey design. The goal was to create mailers that were not only visually appealing but also effective at capturing attention and encouraging participation in these important surveys, and I’m glad with the results.
