Background
This project documents my role in establishing Sunsafe‘s digital presence from 2014 to 2015. During my tenure I was tasked with crafting a comprehensive digital strategy for Sunsafe, a Swedish family-owned company specializing in windows, doors, and sun protection solutions. This encompassed a range of initiatives, including website development, social media marketing, and brand identity refinement.
Search Engine Marketing
To enhance Sunsafe’s online visibility, I collaborated with the team to develop a robust digital marketing strategy. This strategy encompassed a multifaceted approach, including search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, and website optimization. To execute the SEM strategy, I partnered with a Google Ads specialist to create and manage targeted advertising campaigns, effectively reaching new customers through online channels.
Digital Presence
Furthermore, I played a crucial role in the development of Sunsafe’s online presence. Initially, I updated their existing website on hemsida24. Subsequently, I led the creation of a new website built on the WordPress platform, modernizing their online presence, and providing ongoing maintenance and support.
Brand Identity
Beyond the digital realm, I also contributed to strengthening Sunsafe’s brand identity. I refined the existing Sunsafe logo, ensuring its consistent application across all marketing materials. And created assets for the website and social media.
Additionally, I designed a variety of printed marketing materials, including newspaper ads, catalogs, flags, banners, business cards, and car signage, to reinforce brand cohesion and enhance brand recognition.
Reflections
This project at Sunsafe provided invaluable experience in digital marketing. I gained a deep understanding of strategy implementation for a family-owned business and the crucial role of a cohesive brand identity. This rewarding experience allowed me to contribute to Sunsafe’s growth while expanding my own professional expertise.
